Rooms were clean, comfortable, well equipped. Breakfast was adequate if a bit cramped. Good extensive parking area with car outside your unit. WiFi worked well and hotel also had 2 stations.Dont believe your gps and the address of Service Road doesnt list on many gps take a bet on Crowder Blvd off the Interstate souithbound turn left into Crowder then Left at next lights you can see the sign. If Northbound then opposite directions. Despite Cyclone Katrina this motel has recovered and deserves your stay.
Pool was dirty and equipment to clean it didnt work and hasnt for some time. I was told a poolman comes 2 a week, all I can say which year. Despite this the pool is still used for children's swimming lessons.
People were very friendly and helpful. It made the stay fun!
It would have been nice to be a bit closer to a resaurtant. This problem might be the result of Katrina. Apparently there had been one but had been distroyed. There was a Subway shop so food was available.
The Motel is a bit out of the way but we had James. Ask at the desk and they will call James for you. Much cheaper then a taxi and a nice guy as well. Great staff and beds ,
Shemika at the front desk was awesome. I would go back to the hotel just for her customer service..
I didn't like that i woke up with bites on my feet from sleeping in the bed. There was a smell in the room like mold maybe but after a while it went away
The breakfast was awesome, I was expecting a cold cereal and milk and doughnuts for breakfast...THEY Had hot waffles, eggs, bacon, grits, toast, blueberry muffins, banana nut bread, orange juice, milk, coffee I had 3 kids travelling with me, if we would of went out to eat, it would of been half the amount I paid for the room!!!! Plus, it was behind the best new orleans po boy shop!!! A corner store!!!! , get the hot sausage sandwich and a shrimp poboy with hot sauce...I Think the people who reviewed before was rich upscale class PEOPLE...if your originally from New Orleans you already know this is a great hotel, quiet,no hoes or hookers, away from all the bourbon street/canal street drunkenness, very good hotel for middle class americans!!!!!
They would not let me bring their pillows home with me......omg the softest pillows ever!!!! I wanted to steal one!!!! Lol (just joking)
The gentleman at the front desk was excellent! I wanted a jacuzzi tub. He told me there was one room but it had problems (tv and shower broken). That was okay with me. Any hotel motto should be never let money leave. He was upfront about the room and I was very pleased. I enjoyed my stay and I will be coming back again. Thanks!!!!!
The way we were treated, upon arrival, when asked "did we have reservations"? The hotel's reservation dept. had never received anything from Booked.net and showed me the reservation computer screen as verification. But she really was great for making up for the omission.
At check-in, not having a room reservation, albeit, I really had made one thru Booked.net.
Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. We left some personal items in the drawer. We called the hotel, and they were able to recover and ship it to my address. For that, we are grateful.
$20 cab ride to French Quarter. Hard to find the entrance. Smokers stand outside their doors to smoke and talk.
Bathroom was very dirty, very, very. Toilet didnt work. Carpet very dirty, it is the most worst room I ever had, D I R T Y. Price was ok when we paid on internet, but I would not have paid that price for a room as dity as this.
I would not stay there again. The carpeting was filthy, the staff was not friendly and I did not feel safe there. The parking lots are terrible and the entry way is actually an alley. It was not really close to the downtown areas but is close to the ghettos.
Even though they did not have me on their booking system they could still assist me at 1am and provide me with a room
Location - too far out of town for tourist with no motor vehicle. The local bus runs at 45 minute intervals. Wi-fi - it does not work in the rooms as they say. I stayed in 118 - no wifi inside, very limited right outside the room. The only place to do anything was in reception. This place was a last minute booking due to hurricane Sandy, I would not have stayed here otherwise. It is a motel for travelers stopping off the highway nearby who need a room for the night. It is not vacation accommodation if you are visiting New Orleans
My husband was having cancer surgery the following morning at Tulane and I had booked a king room several days in advance. Upon arriving, they did not have a king available (overbooked) and we had to take a double room. The biggest problem I had was the fact that the front desk clerk was not friendly, very unprofessional, and seemed to not really care about us. The room was not clean and did not feel sanitary at all. We will never stay at a Quality Inn again.
Rooms are large, equipped with refrigerator, microwave, two double beds. Hotel provided breakfast. Coffee and juice were available 24 hours. We could use the kitchen anytime.
Very difficult to find a place to eat. Only few fast food shop, even those are mostly sold out by the time of lunch. Only one Chinese restaurant we could locate, and we ate there.
1)improve breakfast(coffee is bad, like a tea), no spoon/fork/napkins/muffins/iorgut) 2)room 240(I can not acess internet) 3)only one bath towel and no bath rug in the room 240 (I asked to recepcionist and room made, but they didn t do) 4)There is a man in the reception, maybe He doesn t like to work. I am disapoitment
The room was comfortable and clean but in need of re-decoration. Had some useful " add-ons " such as ironing board and iron, as well as the expected coffee percolator. Hairdryer, fridge. Internet connection was poor. PLEASE NOTE HOTEL HAD NO RECORD OF BOOKING WITH YOU SO HAD TO BOOK AGAIN!
Location is in run-down area east of New Orleans which necessitated a local bus ride into the city. The access to the rooms was wet from rain and not properly cleaned. Breakfast was poor and continually running out of items not immediately renewed. Service otherwise ok and reasonably helpful
